In Chinese culture, the "red egg" is a symbol of new beginnings, good fortune, and celebration. The tradition of red eggs is particularly associated with significant life events such as births and birthdays. When a baby is born, it is customary to celebrate the child's first month of life with a "red egg and ginger party," during which hard-boiled eggs dyed red are distributed to family and friends. The red color represents happiness and good luck, and the egg symbolizes new life and renewal.
This symbolism makes the red egg an ideal namesake for an interior design firm like Red Egg Design Group, which aims to bring fresh, innovative designs to its clients, symbolizing new beginnings and positive transformations in their living and working spaces. Established in 2012 by interior designer Andrea Bazilus, Red Egg Design Group is an award-winning Interior Design firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Fueled by a need to make all of our projects one-of-a-kind, we are passionate about design, the local art industry and merging the two for all of our clients.
Andrea Bazilus, Owner
Founder Andrea Bazilus aspires to create unique, luxurious spaces for every one of her savvy clients. Originally from California, Andrea found inspiration when she was only 6 years old. She and her family frequently visited model homes where Andrea would daydream about living in such beautifully decorated rooms. From that point forward, her heart was set on design school. In 2005, she received her degree in Interior Design from Brooks College in Long Beach. With over 20 years of experience, Andrea combines her keen eye for style with architectural details, flair for color and love of patterns to create exciting and innovative spaces.
In search of eternal sunshine, Andrea relocated to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area in 2008. She has had many great experiences while living in Arizona, including being a Cardinals Cheerleader from 2010-2013. Andrea's favorite activity is traveling the world with her family, finding design inspirations abroad and collecting unique art and objects for her savvy clients.
